You chicken out, you chicken out
Why the hell do you chicken out
You smile at me
I smile back
You say hi to me
I stop shake your hand
You say goodbye
I pat your shoulder
You start to walk
I watch you go
You wanted to talk
But you chicken out
Why the hell do you chicken out
I ask your number
you give it to me
I haven't called
Cos I'm just being a boy
You don't call mine
Heck you're being a lady!
But we meet again
Now we're even pals in facebook
You check my profile
And know I'm single
You are feeling something
But you chicken out
Why the hell do you chicken out?
You invite me to an event
And I sure attend
You are looking good
I'm looking better!
This time we hug
Tell you're smelling nice
I also hug your pal
She is smelling wow
I talk to her
And we exchange numbers
She is already texting me
And the day ain't over
She can tell I like her
Now you're out of the picture
So before I sleep
I make sure I call her
O.m.g we talk for hours
We'll sure be dating
Next time you see us
You could have been her
But tell that to the ya pals
cos you chickened out
You chickened out
That's because you chicken out?

How you and I meet.
She is tall, she is cute
That's how I see her in my dream
She smiles at me
And I smile back, and there our eyes meet
We sit to talk
Her voice is a dance, her words are poetry
I love her words
I'm already in love with her voice
I listen and pick her mind
And she's got the smart to be my friend
I take her hand
An admire her cute slender fingers
Her hair is lovely
And her lips are so tempting
She's an angel
Her beauty is heavenly
And when we stand to walk
I swear I ain't seen one walk with such grace
She is sweet
And her warmth melts away the ice-caps of my heart
Her energy is lifting
High like a tidal-wave, sweeping me off my feet
I absolutely adore her
Even before I get to really know her
So soul to soul
We are engrossed in a hearty chat
Our once broken cords
Are sewn into one in a fleeting moment
The magic of the gods
The gods of love toast to our long enduring love
Two souls but one heart
There, that's how you and I meet.
That's how I see her in my dream
She smiles at me
And I smile back, and there our eyes meet
We sit to talk
Her voice is a dance, her words are poetry

Hello Phat.... (letter from a pal)
Hey Phat, tell me how are you doing?
I've been following you, there are so many thing I like about you
You are great in so many ways and I'm not just saying it
I've been following your blog too
Plus I love how you make comments on facebook too
I think what you write is cool!
Your last poem,''in my mind'', is my new favourite
If may ask, who or what is it about?
I saw you looking good in a suit the other day
I was like wow,You look so damn good so corporate
I agree with what your pals said, you should suit up more often
The other day you had a big cake on your birthday
You must have had fun, please do invite me next year
Phat, I like the changes you've made on your life this year
Like you ain't taking alcohol and you're now going to church
And are you serious you would do a wedding now?
I somehow look up to you Phat, you inspire me somehow
You are my hero, if I get a son I might call him Phat!
Anyway, there is something you and me should talk about
I was worried for you, I know its been rough with La-vista and your gal
How did it go, and how are you really coping?
You seem to be going back and forth
But keep your head up everything is going to be alright
I love your attitude, your optimism and your faith
Don't lose them, not like that
You've got great friends I admire them a lot
If you don't mind you could introduce me them sometime
I hope you and I will always be good pals
I'm not loud or clumsy plus I believe in you Phat
I have to go but I'll sure be reading your blog and your wall
Plus I'm going to church where you go I might bump into you there
I stay by your place so if we bump at the stairs I'll say hi
And say hi to your cute pals Sherry, Gracie and Mary
I do hope to meet them someday
Stay smart and look after yourself.
Out.

HOW MUCH LONGER
How much longer
Before I can get her number
And before I can call her
Before I can ask her out
And find out if she is seeing someone
How much longer
Before I can reach out and hold her hand
Then release and see if she'll hold on to mine
before I can hug her close enough
And long enough to feel the beating of her heart
Tell me how much longer
Before I can rest my head on her shoulder
And then turn my head towards her neck and smell her
Before I can ran my hands gently on her back
And no t be afraid to run my fingers through her hair
Who knows how much longer
Before we can have our first kiss
And before I can go back and tell my friends
Before I can invite her to my place
And cook for her my favourite dish
Who knows how much longer
Before I'm so smitten about her
and I cant think of nothing else but her
And before I cant go to bed before I say good night
Who knows how much longer
Before she meets all my friends
And before I can take her to meet my parents
Before her name appears on my poems
And before I give her the password to my blog
Who knows how much longer
Before our kiss is lasting for more than a minute
And before I can kiss her on her forehead
Before I can dance for her and she laughs
And before I can look deeply into her beautiful eyes
How much longer
Before she's my girlfriend
And I her boyfriend
Before she can tap my hand as we talk
And before I can hold her hand as we walk
How much longer
Before I can take chocolate from her mouth
And then return it with a kiss just for the fun of it
Before I'm calling her when I'm out to ask her what to bring her
And before I can tell her favorite drinks and her flavour
How much longer
Before the inevitable first fight
And then the sorry, the gifts and the make up
Before we can lay in bed for hours just talking
And then pillow-fight until we are sweating and laughing
How much longer
Before I can slip the ring in her finger
And tell her I want to spend the rest of my life with her
Before she wipes away the happy tears
And nods her head smiling finally saying yes!
How much longer
Before she's my wife
And I'm the happiest man alive
Before we visit the doctor together
And the doctor tells me I'm going to be a father
How much longer
Tell me please
Whom holds those answers.
Before I can get her number
And before I can call her
Before I can ask her out
And find out if she is seeing someone
How much longer

If
If I gave you what you wanted
Would you give me what I need
If its my heart that you wanted
Would you meet all its needs
If I let you into my heart
Would you cater to its whims
If I hadn't what you wanted
Would you say that I am mean
If I let you into my heart
Would you bend yo its every whim
If I let you into my soul
Would you trade it for gold
If I told you all my secrets
Would you keep and never tell
If I let you into my fears
Would you teach me not to be afraid
If I was yours and truly yours
Would you live with the boy in me
If I wrote a poem for another gal
Would you be jealous yet still love me more
If I couldn't be able to write for you
Would it be OK if I danced instead
If you I wasn't the best dancer
Would it be OK of I just snapped my fingers
If someone else loved me better
Is it OK if I see them once in a while
If I dint want you cos you were too good for me
And I'm such a jerk
Would you persuade me to remain and keep trying.
Would you give me what I need
If its my heart that you wanted
Would you meet all its needs
If I let you into my heart
Would you cater to its whims
