This loud voice we have tried to muffle
Busied ourselves so as to avoid its calls
Refused ourselves time to think or feel
And tried to starve and famish it completely
But it cries to be spoken out and acknowledged
If for nothing else for the beauty of its promise
For the sweet chiming bells it rings in our hearts
And for the joy it spreads when our inhibitions lift
Shall we yield to this voice in our hearts?
Tear down this high walls we have built around us
Allow ourselves to express this longing in our soul
And in expressing it set ourselves free forever
Free to bravely explore what may become of us
When fear falls and hope sets us lifting on its wings
When everything is possible and our path a common one
