Tomorrow, and tomorrows that follow

If tomorrow comes
And finds in my element
whether the cold will sharply bite
Or the sun will rise to bath us with warm rays
whatever,I hope it finds me in full flourish
In faith, in hope, in joy...

My heart pumping with renewed expectations
My blood warm and flooding my veins
Unlocking paths to whole new galaxies of thoughts
Of bright new dreams that will fill my day
And to fill, to last, embedded in my mind forever
To inspire me tomorrow and all tomorrows that follow

In days that are coming
Whose progress I cannot halt
Nor their march thwart by heavy arming
One day is to me truly sworn
To bring my life to an ending
Nearer and nearer it footstep draw

Its oath it has never broken
For all men born
It stays faithful to its cause
So when my life it deems full of term
Then wherever I'll be
In the air, land or sea, it shall come

Its shadow will be felt
When its heavy darkness engulfs daylight
I will have left, nay, taken
And only left behind an extinguished frame
One more stump
Where towering life once flourished but death felled.

At the folding bridge
Carrying us forever
To a new unfamiliar world

Here, Soon, before our very eyes
Our dream will become a reality
And having dispensed with the past
We'll embrace a whole new world

A world of our own creation
Here, far away from where it all began
We bravely chose our dream
Believed even when we had little to go by

The dust on our feet will wash away
As we walk on these new grounds
The old memories too will fall behind
As we have a feel of this new world

Like in the past adventures
It's us, us only for each other
And God smiling for us from Above

When you fly away across the land and the seas
Through the winding way of the skies
To the other side of the moon and shining stars
Carry my hope and dreams with you

When you stand dwarfed by Mercury, Venus, Mars..
Watching the flaming meteorites zoom past the dark holes
Feeling alive there where you truly belonged
Keep too the memories we created here on earth

Then even when my aching soul longs for you
For that touch of tenderness of your human-angel hands
My hopes in your bosom, my dreams breathing truly
I will upon waking from this sleep see that beauty as you do

I will see with your eyes, and smell what you smell
The beauty of the world without
The smell of things heavenly
What no eye has seen except of the one who first created

Have no fear, shed no tear
I will live freely only if I let you leave
And as it has been, our lives in each others hands
So shall it ever be, lets let it be

Let your body lift and float above
Your shadow shielding me, always comforting me..
Towards heavens, towards object of light my eyes ain't seen

This headache will split my head
These shoes are killing my feet
Can't wait to put this bag down
Remove my shoes &sock and let my feet breathe

Wouldn't I kill for a cool glass of Pepsi?
Trade all I own for Shower and a massage?
And sleep, sweet sleep, healing sleep!
If I could have all that now, now, now!

My girl is waiting for my call
Kinda makes me wish I'd never promised I'd call
There is a mountain of work tomorrow
My best years I'm selling off for hard cash

Ain't that cause for little sorrow
Oh how human have I truly turned?
