Young yet so wise
Humble yet so smart
I came to you for advice
But you give me more than that
See how you led me to light
Each word pointing me to a direction like a map
See how you help me conjure up hope
And how now I stand tall because you’ve mentored me well
Yesterday I remember began with a smile
Now it seems a long way back
And it is, we’ve come from so far
